You Can Fitness - servicing Romsey & Macedon Ranges

Bootcamp, Group Classes & Personal Training FAQs

Q: What areas does You Can Fitness service?
A:
We are based in the Romsey Recreation Centre, 12 Park Lane, Romsey.  We service the whole Macedon Ranges Shire region, including Gisborne, Kyneton, Mt Macedon, Riddells Creek, Hesket, Woodend, Lancefield and surrounding rural areas.

Q: Do I need to have a certain level of fitness before I join bootcamp or participate in group classes or personal training?
A:
No, not at all. We have a series of questions we need to ask first about general health and risks but our workouts are designed to be challenging for all fitness levels and abilities.  If you have not exercised in years then we strongly recommend you seek a medical clearance.

Q: What is bootcamp?
A:
At bootcamp we do a combination of resistance and cardio training, using various aids such as free weights, medicine balls, resistance bands and of course good old bodyweight exercise.  Cardio drills may consist of boxing drills, and interval training. Our fun outdoor group sessions are designed for weight loss, toning, functional strength and overall general fitness.

Q: Is bootcamp military training style?
A:
No. If you want a military style, join the military. We believe military style bootcamp training is unneccesary and may cause injuries to participants. We want you to laugh and have fun while you train, so we won't shout at you or intimidate you. We are here to motivate you so you can reach your goals in a fun and safe environment.

Q: What is the benefit of having a personal trainer?
A:
Personal training is a great way to get fit and lose weight, as our qualified personal trainers work with you on a one to one basis for a set period of time. We tailor a program specifically for you so you can reach realistic goals.

Q: I've heard you have classes specifically for people with special needs fitness?
A:
Yes. We run specific programs for children or adults with special needs, where our qualified trainers take them through physical exercises to promote general health and social interaction.
